Visonik V4000XD - Quality or POS

Looking for a budget high wattage 2ohm monoblock to run 4 AQ 15's that are dual 4 ohm. These would give me 1000rms/sub when wired together.

Curious if its a quality piece and I can trust the ratings or if the 4000 @ 2ohms is WAY overated.

I have the MA version of this amp.Same board different case.Anyway unless you have a few 12v batteries these amps won't preform at there full potential.They are mainly for comps as the put out most of there power on a 16v setup.However I have ran them on 12v and was happy with the sound.

I think its the same board/almost same amp as the hk4000d isn't it? I'm not sure but from what I hear they pretty much do rated power, but are power hogs too

The Kole 5500d will also give you .10$ a watt.

As for the Visonik V4000XD being power hungry, thats what I just read while searching, that they love a huge electrical. Heres what id have to START: optima underhood + HUGE marine battery underhood, 0 gauge big 3 and factory 120amp alt...... running this amp @ 2ohm

Id love to see it pull atleast 3000rms daily on that system if possible.....

kx1-5500d -- it's trying to look like an RF, and WAY over-rated.

The Visonik should be significantly more powerful.

I just received mine today and installed it on 4 RE SE 12's (600 rms each) @ 2 ohms. It really makes these woofers move. My electrical is nothing fancy, big 3, stock 140 amp alt (iirc), yellow top under the hood, and one run of zero gauge. gain is only 1/2 and it gets LOUD.

My subs are SDC;s I thik I might go ahead and grab one of these amps. Anyon have anything bad to sya on them?

My elec is only a factory 120amp alt, big 3 in 4 gauge, bluetop main battery and a big marine battery under the hood.... and 0 gauge power run of course.....

Yeah, add about 3 more 900+ cca batteries if you want that amp to actually function.
