Visonik Amp

Over the last few days I was searching for an amp that could power the 2 db-500's that I would soon be getting and the only amp that I came across that could put out the power needed for the subs (that was in my budget) was the Visonik V318XT. My one friend had a visonik amp and it seemed like it was putting out its rated power or at least close to it. I saw in a review of the sub that one guy's got tested at 1101 rms, but then another guy wrote a review said that he thought the power rating was overrated. I had a visonik once, it was decent, but i never got it metered, or anything like that.

The thing that confuses me the most is the one guy saying it was tested as underrated and the other guy thought it was overrated.

not a big fan of visionik have a 400watter in my bros car and puts out as much power (from listening not meterted) as an old school 140watt "mobile amplifer" I have... A better budjet alternative I would say is a profile such as this http://www.millionbuy.com/prfap2000.html

I would go with the profile one if they had one a mono amp that put out 800 @ 2 ohms, but they don't. I would love to see a bench test on one of these things but I highly doubt there is one out there.

I had a class X that was rated at 1700 watts @ 17 volts. I replaced a Memphis 1000 watt class D and used it for a little while. It was stronger than the Memphis. My friend pulled his baby Mmats class D and replaced it with this Visonik X. The Visonik was as strong or maybe stronger. The class X sounded pretty good too. I bought a couple more with plans to build a big system again, but it never happened so I sold them. They were strong. Sure they didn't put out 1700, but they produced a good amount for the money.

i own 3 of these v318xt mono amps. I am extremely satisfied. If they are overated its not by much. also heard of people running these amps at 1ohm w/ no problems, (would not recommend since they are 2ohm stable). instead of crutchfield you should shop ebay for new v318xt amps (not used or refurbed). mine are all new and i paid 330 for all 3 shipped. definitly a good amp and a budget friendly price tag.
