Viper D2500.1 wiring help...PLEASE!!!!

Ok, so I thought I knew how to wire subs to amps, but I guess I don't.

Anyway, on the 2500 it has two output connectors for 2 subs and the manual states that the + and - connectors are paralleled internally. Also, my box has two connectors, one for each sub.

So, my question...If I wire my sub's terminals (dual 4 ohm) + to + and - to - (paraellel) and then connect each to a output connector (also paraellel) on the amp...That still gives me a 2 ohm final impedance on each sub, correct?

I just want to make sure.

If you have dual 4ohm dvc subs, you can only wire to 1, 4, or 16 ohms

Wire like that for your best bet which will provide you somewhere around 1200wrms for the pair.

Also, to further answer your question, yes if you wire each sub in parallel you will have a 2ohm resistance for each sub, but once you wire those to the amp, the internally paralleld channels will reduce the load to 1ohm, which will be too low for that amplifier.

Ok, additonal question to my original question.

If the subs are dual 2ohm (instead of dual 4ohm), can I wire the subs in series (resistance would be 4ohms on each sub) then the amp would run them parrallel internally giving me a 2ohm final impedance? Correct? Would this work? Or, would running them in series then parrallel possibly damage the subs or amp?
