Viper 690XV question

im installing a viper 690xv and i am confused about some wiring

in the install manual it shows the 2 door trigger wires, one + and one -, on my car i have 2 door trigger wires, one for each door, however they are both negative

so i am wondering how i would wire them up?

also for the power lock wires the manual shows

a GREEN wire that says (-) Lock, (+) Unlock Output

and a BLUE wire that says (-) Unlock, (+) Lock Output

again in my car the power lock and power unlock wires are both negative, so i am guessing that i would hook the GREEN wire to my power lock wire and the BLUE to the power unlock

does this sound correct?

Diode isolate your 2 door triggers using the negative trigger wire, as far as locks you are correct green ( - Lock) Blue (-unlock)

im not sure exactly how to use diodes, anyone want to walk me through it?

also what would i do with the + trigger wire on the alarm?

ok i found out how to hook up the diodes but still wonder what to do with the + wire

cut it and tape it, it is not used.

well i installed the alarm this weekend and i do believe there is more to the + and - hook up for the door locks. Because i hooked it up as stated above, and when i powered the alarm and tested it, i pressed the lock and the alarm beeped but the doors didnt lock, so i disarmed the system and still the locks did nothing. I checked the wire connections and everything was fine so i try locking the doors from the door switch and nothing happened. also i checked all the fuses in the car and they were all fine, and i unplugged the lock/unlock wires from the alarm, so the wiring was as it was before the alarm and that didnt change a thing

so what do you think? did i fry the motors?

You may have shorted the motors. Did you use the external relay pack from DEI?

anyone have any idea on if the motors are done for?

i will be pulling the panels this weekend but just wondered if anyone had a thought on it
