Hi, I found this amp for 110$ used.

Viper 1200.1d

I have about 200$ to spend on a new sub amp combo.

I was wandering if you think this would be a good buy.

I would then find a sub that is arround 100 $ to match this amp.

Another option I found is the JVC arsenal ks-ar7001 amp with JVC Arsenal CS-AW7240 sub on crutchfield

It was around 2003ish i went from an alpine mrv752 v12 to a viper, not sure the model but 1000 or 1200 watts sounds right, cuz i went from 1 L5 solobaric 12 to 3 Memphis pr 12's wired to 2.66 ohms. The amp was a total piece of crap and kept going into protect. Worse amp i bought. Took itbback to the shop and the owner said it was because u couldn't run 2.66, only 2 ohms or 4 ohms. He was full of crap and didn't want to admit he sold me junk. I wouldn't buy anything dei personally. Maybe someone else has had a better experience

Not familiar with it, check the classifieds on here you might be able to find a decent amp for your budget

I had a Viper 1100.5 and a 2500D.1 and both worked just fine.

Viper was made by Directed Electronics(they own Viper, DEI, Orion, etc...), that 1200.1 is similar to a DEI Directed Audio 1100D and the Orion 1200D, not as quality as the Orion but pretty close.

I would ask for $90 just because.
