they were probably joking. get some gorilla tape and tape over the slice for now. im pretty sure the rip will just get bigger if you continue to play them. but yea recone would be good

It just lets air through the gap, causing loss in da boomz. The pressure will eventually make the slit grow and it worsens. All ya gotta do is dap it up with a little e6000 or some type of rubberized super glue and youll be good to go!
