Honestly I'm thinking the problem might be the woofers. The IB series probably doesn't have alot of BL so he probably isnt' really capable of pushing the port that much, especially since he's tuned really low where the woofers need to move more anyway.

edit: Just looked 8 newtons/ampere, lol that's the problem. The maelstroms are a bit undermotored too. If you want to move that much air down low you NEED BL.....just sayin.

More port area offsets this, but he has that working against him as well. His problem is a combination of lack of motor strength, and a lopsided enclosure design. Even with that huge of a port, its too small for that sized enclosure. Trying to push 50 cubes of air through a 20" port would be equivalent to a 5 cubic foot box with a 2" port.

The port is choking air displacement, and a sub with the motor forced designed to run IB (for all intents and purposes, free air) isn't helping that one bit.

He posted about his system in a public forum and wanted feedback. I agree many replies have been overly critical, or even immature, but that should be expected when posting info on the internet. There have also been people like tempest and myself who have posted some useful info (hopefully). You have to learn to take the bad with the good around here.
