aluminum flared ports

i am looking to biuld a ported enclosere. i want to use 2 aluminum flared ports on the front of the box. canyone tell me where i can get a 3" aluminum or stainless steel flared port?

i am not picky if it is stainless or aluminum. i want something that is or can be polished to a killer finish and stay that way.

Sorry, i meant metal in general. But gotcha you want a show finish look. Have you tried googling it?

any machine shops in your area? if so good ones some times have good guys that can turn the flares for you.

I read this thread's title and I thought "Im gonna pop in and see what he's gonna use for this aluminum port". Turns out, its a thread asking us what to make it out of.

Nobody makes flared metal ports. That would be a DIY project (what I was expecting to find in this thread already). Flaring it is very possible, but would take some fairly specialized equipment. You cant just heat it up and form it around a bowling ball like you can plastic porting/pipe.

I know what you asked. You asked where to get them. I answered, nobody makes them. Its custom work.

i read this title and thought im gonna have to pop in:nerd: before you say nobody makes (insert thing here) please understand that you should try google, actually that part is very common you just don't know what its called and because of high post count people automatically think you are a vet and know everything

in 1 min i can find anything from 3" -24" sizes

Ducting, Furnace Ducting, HVAC Ducting, Ductwork, Furnace Ductwork, AC Ductwork

and actually they are quite cheap too hmmmm

Amazing, I post in this thread and all the sudden Im some ahole who thinks he knows everything due to my post count. Whatever.

The flare you posted is but part of the necessary finished product. Like I said, nobody makes an alum or ss flared enclosure port. Its going to be a custom job, unless you find someone like kman mentioned who custom makes them for resale.
