video - 2 bl 15's on vfl 200.1 @ .5 ohm

all I have to say is wow, sometimes I wish I had a bigger vehicle for 2 15s but in a way I like having a car...I think Im gonna have to go with an SUV cuz the trunk size and alternators just dont cut it :p

btw how much do those Fi BL 15s cost? I was gonna buy a mtx 9500 15" for my car but those look like a better choice, altho it might come down to cost...

anyways nice setup and that flex is crazy haha I wish the cd player didnt skip so I coulda seen more of it

there are a few more videos of some of the flex there, although all but the 2 in the first couple posts in this thread are with the amp at 2 ohms, subs only seeing about 1000 watts each. give me a few minutes, going to go make a new flex video now.

they start at 280 each and with full options like mine have, i think they are around 340. my stock alternator didnt cut it either, had to buy a 400 dollar 240 amp iraggi.

wow thanks, 340 isnt bad at all, I was gonna pay about the same price for a 9500 15" 400$ shipped off ebay for one of those but I may as well try a Fi BL since I hear so much about them, and if I run it at 1ohm I can get roughly 1600wrms to it

I upgraded my stock alt along time ago, downside is I only get about 140amps out of it most of the time cuz in order to get the full 180 I would need to have my engine rpm up another 1k or so

EDIT::

thats really not bad at all, it is 340 for a full loaded 15" and free shipping sounds good to me hahaha Ill have to do some comparing now, I hear alot about the FiBL subs and I havnt actually ventured out and tried too many different brands of subs, so far Ive only used alpine, infinity and MTX. MTX being my current sub a single 12" 9500 with 1200wrms

thanks again, btw the videos are awesome, one day Ill have to get something bigger than a car and run dual alts

yeah i just checked it, 340 shipped with full daily options. you dont need dual alternators unless you're really running a serious setup. with just one sub, and 1600 watts, you should be fine with a modest 200-240 amp alt, and a good battery. you'll also want to upgrade your underhood wiring, alternator ground, alternator to battery positive, battery ground. do all that in 1/0 gauge. will make a huge difference.

yea I need to redo my sig, I used to visit here a long time ago and Ive got all the 1/0 leads and a spare battery in the trunk

knukonceptz ftw 1/0 kolossus kable or however they spell it

the dual alts was my future project for a something like a suv //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif one day I wish to have enough spare money for either (2) or (4) 15" subs

car audio has become a passion of mine since I got my first 400wrms 10" sub and heard that sweet sounding deep frequency

I like your setup alot, thx for your opinion on my other topic, I look at raamat and they are a little more expensive so I might just have to save up a little more
