his resting voltage was fine, thats the thing. its just off a bxi1206d his voltage would get very low. yesterday i put 2 runs of 1/0 in his car. so he is set now. he is running 1 15'' R off a bxi2607d

i grounded to the floor panel in my cargo area. sanded it down. put a bolt through and i read same voltage at the battery as i do at my ground when the system is off. so it seems to me like its ok to ground there.
dont know if it makes sense but you know how you can fold the rear seats down then pull the carpet up? i grounded to that little metal right near the bottom rear end of the rear seats. **** i tried explaining and i still dont think it makes sense ha

what i had my amps grounded to before i put in the 2nd battery was that big bolt that holds down the seat belt clip. its already sanded so i'm just gonna use the same point.

In my explorer i grounded to the chasis jus under the rear set and havent had any problems.

does anyone have any pictures of what they did to mount batteries in the rear? i had mine tied down under the small seat behind the driver with the same ratchet straps i used for the box and it was secure but looked like hell, was a ***** to get on, and had to be cut off. isnt any room between the seat and the box.

if i ever got a battery in back it would be a couple of the hc800's i think they are, those thin ones. 3 of those could fit back there very nicely. if you have enough cable you could also fit a yellowtop in that back right pocket in the cargo area. some cutting would need to be done though.

yesterday i deadened the shit out of my hatch, used about 20 sq ft of raammat. also put some bolts in the bottom of my license plate so its not bouncing all off the hatch anymore.

i tried to get some footage of the air movement but my cd player kept skipping.



im getting voltage drops to 11.3-4 at the very lowest, usually it's around 11.6-7 when its wanging. whats the first step to getting that back up there, better batteries, more 1/0 runs under the hood? is 11.3 low enough to kill my amp? it doesnt seem to be heating up anymore than it did at 2 ohms, and it hasnt gone into protect yet.

I dunno about kill your amp, but its not good for it. at 12.4V your battery is running at 20%... put it that way..

yep, got my back seat all ripped up now, redoing my grounds in the rear. not putting it back together until i'm idling at least over 12v.

however, now, my battery warning light is on on my instrument panel and i'm hearing sort of a hum/whine from my alternator. it seems to still be charging fine, but i'm going to pull it out and send it back into iraggi to get it checked out to be safe.

well the q's were dual 1 ohm coils, so they were seeing a little over 1200 watts a piece. the bls are dual 2's, i was just teasing them with about 1kw each. now, theres no comparison. a lot louder, and dont see to be lacking on the low end like i've heard a couple people say.

just got done grounding the rear battery to the chassis, now i'm idling at 14.3 on both batteries with the stereo off, 13.9 on both with it at low volume, haven't cranked it yet since i was just in my garage. showing the same voltage at the amp, so looks like that was the problem.

apparently my truck sees something wrong with my charging system as its giving me a battery warning light, and i'm hearing a whirring sound from my alternator, but it seems to be charging fine. sent an email to dominick iraggi, waiting to hear back from him, but i'll more than likely be swapping the stock alt back in for a week or two while i send it back in to him to be checked out.
