The problem with the 5/500's is that theres soo much acetaminophen(i think thats how its spelled, AKA Tylenol) that it kills your liver when you take 5+ pills at a time. You have to use cold water extraction to get the hydrocodone separate from the acetaminophen.

I've never seen anyone get smashed off of a 5/500 vic, first time pain killer or not. If really worried then take half but to put in perspective, my 7year old son was prescribed vic's a few months back and we'd give him 1/2 of one like the dr said, and no side effects, goofiness or drowsiness.
