So I was planning on putting a glass mirror in my back deck cut two holes for my 6x9's and put 4 cold cathode lights above it. now I need some help picking out some vibration damping pads so when my bass starts hitting it won't shatter my mirror.. any sugestions?

And I know I will need 4 sq ft but what Brand will do the most good?

you don't need "damping" products, just some vibration isolation. open cell foam is sufficient - 1/4" thick or more. just glue it to the back of the mirror and isolate any mounting screws with soft rubber grommets.

i haven't quite visualized what you are trying to achieve. regardless, you just need some soft, cushy stuff between your mirror and the vehicle.

It seems to me your better off using some reflective material for the cathode lights like silver mylar, polycarbonate mirror, pc/ pet mirror on a roll.

In theory a heat resistant, metallic, chrome or mirror paint would produce a similar effect, be easier to work and minimize danger of heat dispersal.

well I was going to use damplifier cause my back deck and a peice of metal under that vibrate really bad and the mirror is so when the lights flash it hits the mirror and kinda amplifies it throughout the car when it's all done I'll have picks up but do you have any names for open cell foam?

damping products don't eliminate rattles as a primary function. sometimes the added mass can eliminate some. certainly adding some won't hurt, it may just take a lot more than you expect to solve your issues.

if you are going damplifier, their overkill pro is closed cell foam. Raammaudio sells ensolite which is the same. they also sell it with a PSA for easly peal and stick without spray glue.

weatherstripping closed cell foam is cheap and at any hardware store. that works to isolate materials when placed between them.
