Just got my new RE SR 12" Sub in today.

Gotta give props to woofersetc.com for the fast service and good packaging:

I've got this sub on about 400W RMS in a sealed box. It's in my single cab truck in a downfiring box. I know that most of you on here already know that RE subs are the shit, but this thing is great.

I am big into SQ and feel like I have a pretty critical ear, and I totally love what I am hearing from this sub. There isn't that much info on the net about this sub either. When searching what little info I found was ALWAYS positive. And this sub also did very well in the great 12" competition on ROE.

Anyway, I guess most folks look at RE for their XXX, SE, and other monster subs. So, their more "tame" offerings get overlooked. I ran a bunch of subs through WinISD based on my airspace, and this was the only one that matched up very well with the IDMAX. I used the IDMAX as my "reference" sub to base my testing from. I can honestly say that WinISD did not lie! This sub has some great output, it gets loud and nasty low.

I tried playing a lot of music that would cause most woofers to sound muddy, or have a hard time keeping up with, but this things sounds so sweet. It doesn't get muddy at all. Just clean clear bass output. I played some fast-paced metal that has some really quick kick drums and this sub literally makes it hard to breath in my single cab truck. Needless to say, I am most impressed with RE!

woofersETC....as in Et Cetera.

Just out of curiosity...how do you know that the graph you saw in WinISD even remotely represents what you are hearing? Have you captured FR response with a mic?

I am glad you're satisfied but be cautious about unwarranted claims...in most respects, the SR and IDMAX are not at all alike.

I wouldn't mind hearing an SR. Good to hear from a satisfied customer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah, woofersetc.com They are great to deal with.

Yeah, I am not saying the IDMAX is only slightly better than the RE SR. What I meant by it is that in WinISD you can manually put in the type of box you have and the airspace you have available and it will plot the output of the sub based on T/S parameters. So, based on that, the RE SR graphed out fantastic response in WinISD. WinISD is not the holy grail of comparison, but I think it is a very good place to start.

Overall I am thrilled with this sub. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I've said it once and I'll say it again, winISD (winSUCK) is a joke of a program.

Next to the online caculators that's one of the crappiest programs. WAAAAAAAT too many variables for it to take into account.
