Just measure all the space you're willing to give up (length x width x height) and from there we can figure how many square feet you have. If you have basic woodworking skills making a box isn't too hard. If you decide to go ported I'd have someone design it for you so you can get the port right though.i have no idea how to figure that out.. i have a 2004 nissan xterra. i think im going to go with the 15 cuz some one just quoted me 350 just for a box for the 18inch....
is it hard to make ur own?
It can sound better but generally sealed sounds better. Ported is definately louder though.yes i def want ported it sounds better correct? ok im going out there to measure brb
That's 9 cubic feet before sub, port and wood displacement. I'm not an expert on designing boxes so i'll let someone else chime in on whether that's enough room to port a Q or not.2 ft by 3 ft by 1 1/2 ft
The size of the port in relation to the size of the box is what determines the tuning. To tune low like you need to do with the Q on a box that big requires a big port which you have to subtract from your 9 cubic feet.if i can ddo the lowest cubic feet that would work? and how do u tune a box lol?
