Venting Door Speaker Pod?

CDT speakers usually recommend an infinite baffle installation, at most a sealed installation.
i would not vent them unless you really know what the hell you are doing.

What if he was to completely seal the rest of the door. Then vent the pods into the door with a 3"-4" hole in the rear of the pods. Wouldn't he still get the effects of an IB install ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would assume so because IB is technically what, 10x sd? I would imagine that a sealed door would be large enough to trick the woofer in to thinking it wasn't in a sealed box. Either way, as long as the cone and backwaves are isolated, I'd imagine it would be fine.

well I finally just installed them... they sound like absolute ***... I imagine it's because they are secured to the door PANEL, not the door itself... in any case they are butt f**king ugly to boot so this weekend I'm going to start over, or at least make them shorter, secure it to the solid door panel and we'll see then.... at least I learned how to fiberglass...
