Stereo Integrity says to do 1.5 cubic feet tuned to 32 Hz, or 2.0 cubic feet tuned to 29 Hz for the 12. Is there a diff between the 1.5 and the 2.0? Is one made for sq and spl purpose or something? If I wanted the 15" is it really necessary to have 4cu ft? I really don't wanna do more than 2...maybe 2.5 for the 15"

how would it sound loudness and quality wise compared to say a brahma 12" in a 2.0 tuned to 28hz? I guess the same can be said for a xxx. I'd probably give the SI's a tsunami 1100db and the xxx/brahma a bx1500d

The amount of space for your driver is very important. If you dont want to use more than 2.5cuft then stick with the 12 driver.

The manufactor gives specs for best performance of the driver. I have two mag, in a 2.0 cubic foot box tuned to 29hz. SQ and SPL is great.

i emailed Nick@stereointegrity.com and he said if u have the room definitely go with the 2.0 tuned to 29. the reason i emailed in the first place was to know if the 2.0 would hit as sharp as the 1.5 since i like to listen to rock and he said the 2.0 tuned to 29 hz would be better in every aspect better than the 1.5 tuned to 32 hz...except space

hm now for the dreaded question that'll get me flamed

what about a 2.0 with a brahma or xxx...id give these drivers more power but would the d2 12 with 1100w rms suffice or should i save my money for later. i'm coming from 2 10" l5's sealed off a profile amp so really anything will be night and day but i plan on making this the last time i upgrade

For a dual 12" Mag design - small box:

If that helps any.........???

yea it'd be nice to make the switch to ported but i really want a 15. you think the ported 12 would outperforma sealed 15 d2?

on another forum this guy claimed his one idmax12 hit 145db or something. should i consider these too?

well, if you figure ideally the ported 12 will have 3dB more output then a sealed 12, i'd say they'd be pretty competitive setups...

personally, i love low tuned enclosures, tuning low really brings out the output w/o sacrificing SQ.

but the box will cost more than the sealed for the 15". Any suggestions??
MDF is cheap...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

shouldn't cost that much more, or anywhere near enough to make a big difference.
