some things you have up there you can find down here but will be a mission to find. if the items you think are rare down here you may just want to bring some with you.

the parking thing you are worried about isn't much of an issue. just stay out of the ghetto and keep the car parked in a well lit area. keep expensive belongings in the hotel with you and not in the car. you will be fine man.

get AAA for emergencies. though i'm not sure if you need to live in the U.S. to have road side service

Miami is paradise. Im affraid to fly but i'll fly to Miami.

Go to Wet Willys and get a Call-A-Cab.

Theres a resturant called Ginger Bay in Hollywood , good food.

Bentleys and Lamo's everywhere, your car is safe!!

If your going to sleep sleep at a service area. Not truck stops or rest areas.

We drove from Albany, NY to MIA. 24 straight hours. Like 3-4 hrs from you.

Gas where I im is $2.15-1.99.

Speed limit is 55-65 on 87 and most of 95. In North Carolina its 70.

Wet Willys is a bar on Ocean Drive and 12th or 8th street. A CAll-a-cab is their strongest drink.

Service areas have tons off traffic. Gas, food, etc. Rest stops usually have less taffic and are usually darker areas.

I think I already went to Wet Willys. Well that was a bar around those street and the ambiance was nice. Is it the bar with a big outside space (terace?) and lot of palmier.

ok I'll look for a service area. 24 hour from albany? that's more like 6hour from quebec city.

miami sucks. weve been getting cold fronts back to back so the water will be in the lower 70's which is cold for people down here. but if youre a canadian and live on a snow farm then im sure youll love it.

i guess its great if youre only here on vacation and have money to spend. but the people **** , traffic is ****ing terrible , and 95% of people are realllly ignorant. cant wait till i move.

It does have a second floor outdoor terrace. The first three times I went to MIAMI I spent most of my time at Wet Willys. Theres clubs all over Ocean drive. I went Memorial Day weekend end. if you run the "we're driving to see an ailing family member" or pity card, some places will give you a discount.

done it many times actually, on spur of the moment skate trips. i've gotten hotels for 35 dollars/night before.

not leaving your car for 48 hours sucks, believe me, it's much nicer to snag a cheap hotel, get a shower, sit watch some TV, and relax.

My brother works at the Hampton Inn in Hollywood. We had a suite for $30 a night. Some of my friends stayed at the Royal Palm on Ocean Drive for $400 a night. Our suite was much better and only 20 minutes away. We did go to Magic Johnsons pool party at the Royal Palms though.
