Vacation in Miami Beach soon!

you lost me there captain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif they don't teach us that in high school french //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Immersion is needed to talk like a real quebec-er. It's more like our slang!

Btw why are you learning french ? I can understand why we are learning english but french? Spanish would fit better in everyday situation as a second langage, isn't it?

ah, and the funny thing is i'm half mexican. French just seemed more interesting to me at the time. I'm no longer in high school though. Neither really gave me an advantage in my career so I didn't bother pursuing either.

back to topic... any suggestion to distract car thieves? or they just don't mind stealing used budget car? What about safe place to sleep in car? We'll be carying a thick blanket and few socket pairs and a hot coat.

What about paying road. How does that work? i'm noob in paying for the road lol

Virgin mobile is working there from the map on their website. Where should i call if i need to get towed without being focked?

what's the maximum speed on the highway? can i get a little over it without getting ticket?

spare change - quarters for paying tolls on the road (~$0.50 - $1.50). Will be cold as hell sleeping in your car, but you are probably use to the cold - just bundle up. Gas will run you (~$2.00-$3.00). As far as your car just make sure to park it somewhere well lit, and hopefully nobody ****s with it. Maybe even park it in a nicer neighborhood and then ride the bus or walk since the weather will be so nice.

Haha you sure have a lot of questions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I'm from the South FL area, and for tolls ('paying roads' as you say) you can either pay with paper bills or change. Change is generally quicker since you don't need to deal witha person, but there are booths that will give you change.

Maximum speed, just stay with the traffic. If your zooming past traffic, doesn't matter what the speed limit is, you going to get flagged.

As for sleeping in a safe place, I'm not sure exactly. I don't really think things through, so me personally I've slept in quite a few parking lots, nothing bad has happened yet. But I've never slept at a trucker's rest stop like you are assuming, those places look scary from the movies I've seen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif!

Also by the way you are describing the car, I can assume your using the cheaper gas (87 octane around here), in south FL right now (Miami area) you can expect to pay about $1.70-$1.90 a gallon (US Dollars of course).

nice you had a lot of answer too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

The car will be parked in a designated area on Ocean drive (I will have somekind of pass but it's still in the street). There is so much people walking at all time of days i shouldn't worry about that.

wow gaz price is impressive everywhere. You are so lucky, but still complaning when you're paying it past 3$, wicht is hella cheap around here.

how much cash should i expend to spend on tolling going north to side east coast.

So truck stop aren't a great idea? no police supervision?

From what I've seen and heard, truck stops aren't a nice place, haha. Not positive though.

And I've never complained about gas prices, I need gas regardless of what the price is, so might as well accept it since I have to pay it regardless.

As for cash spent on tolls, I'm not exactly sure. Your going to be on some tolled roads though, how frequent and far spaced the toll stops are I'm not sure of though.

Ocean Dr. is in a pretty nice area, your car should be fine.

I wasn't talking about you in particular... there was a thread about gaz price being too high way back. I was upset about this since we pay it 2x that price... and in Swiss, I think they pay it 4x that price....

Ocean Dr. is nice hell yeah! My studio is at 10 stairs and 10 feet of the pool and the pool is like 30feet from the beach. You are lucky to be living there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

It's nice to be reassure (typo???) from someone from there. Do you still go to the beach sometime? Since i'll have my car what should i visit there? how far are the everglade from south beach?

From South Beach your looking at about and hour to an hour and a halfto get down to Homestead, which is where the Everglades National Park entrance is. You need to go south. You'll pretty much be going through Miami, and past Key Biscayne, then your just about there.

And of course I still go to the beach //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Not as often as toursists may but every couple of weeks I like to go down there with some friends and just relax. I usually go to Miami beach, around Collins Ave. and 27th or so.

As far as things to visit down here, I'm honestly not too sure, haha. Kinda sad, I've lived here for quite some time, but I'm not too sure what all may be considered a 'tourist attraction'.

And don't worry, I didn't take your 'overpaying for gas' comments personally, I was just saying tha tI see no point in complaining. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Are wal-mart opens 24 hours? that would be nice for the parking part
Some of them are, the one closest to me is a 24-hour store //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif. Not sure if they all are or not.
