Using the trunk as an enclosure!?

Hey I got a 15" sonance and I got the grand idea today to fabricate the rear deck of my Lexus to put the sub straight into it. Than use the trunk itself as the enclosure (i never use my trunk area)

Can that be possible, or is that tooo much area.

ive thought about doing it also but not my rear deck...but i think its prolly too much room for a single 15...but u could do a 18 maybe?

By IB, he means "Infinite Baffle". do a search and itll give you some ideas...

i don't think that sub likes IB, build a box. its probably less work to just have a box made than to do all the custom stuff necessary for a rear deck IB install

I didn't know about IB and I just thought it would be a cool install to have it in the rear deck. That's the only reason I was thinking about it over a box.
