Using HU and Amp x-over together....

Isn't that redundant? I have a Pioneer DEH-780 HU with internal x-overs and slope adjustments. Do I need to use the x-over at the Alpine PDX 4.150 amp as well?

This has been discussed over and over and over and if I'm not mistaken most recently in this thread wherein squeak explains it pretty clearly.
