Hey all. I just had my Pioneer headunit replaced with a touchscreen Clarion DVD player. I wanted to know if it is possible to build a 'custom boombox' with the headunit and getting a couple of basic component speakers and drilling it altogether in a little box.
I see at car audio shops, they got the headunits on display over a wall. I want to do something similar but in a more compact form.
My question, how do I power the headunit? The plug on the back is the basic one that connects to the harness of the car. Do I need to buy a car battery or can I buy some converter to be able to plug it in a basic wall outlet?
Thanks everyone! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
