Using Fiberglass to fix Hole in Cone

ok so i got a kicker L5 and it has a hole right in the middle about the size of the solobaric logo(looks like pic below). I want to fix because it still works. I was thinking of using some fiberglass cloth and resin on the cone. the only problem is that i dont know what effect the resin would have on the cone. Any suggestions for fixin this?

ive seen recone kits on ebay for like $100 if you can fix that one

just do 2 layers and itll be fine.. no effect you will notice but there is just a small change in t/s specs

im not sure fibergalss would stick to that. Glue a dust cap over it. or maybe a few layers of metal foil tape.

I wouldn't use something that heavy. It may look stupid, but I would just put some duct tape over it really well. Fiberglass can change the subwoofer's specs (as someone said above) due to the weight.

It can be done but you will need fine hobby grade glass think it is 1/8oz and it is so thin it come with a plastic peel backing... Better off replacing it the sub ain't that great anyways... Polo.
