Possible looking for an 18, which one?

Today I got to hear my first solox 18 and that thing pounded, the install was worrible (box was forced in the back of a probe at an angle) and I was still impressed. I was wanting to do 2 18's but with a properly built box don't have the room so I think I'm doing just one. What would be in the same catigory as the solo X. I will have about 11 cu ft before displacements and 3000 watts rms at 1 ohm.

Just put in a 9518G in my friends tahoe, 6.3ft^3 with 2 6" aeros at 37hz. The thing is straight beastly on 2000w. It's a monster, I want one. No lie it's got to be pulling like a 145 at 35hz, 148 at 40 but havent gottten it metered yet:crap:

I guess I'm loooking at doing a solox 18 unless there is some other possibilities to look at that are capable of out doing it. It would be a more daily set-up

I'd take any of those I listed over a solo x. Especially for daily.

Eh, I'd rather do a 3 inch Al. Coil off of 3kw. Just what I'd do, though.

I don't like the idea of a paper cone being 18" Kevlar DDs or SoloX are different beasts.

I just like the 4hp motor mainly because they can fit into a smaller box than most other subs. I don't think there's any 3hp based motors out there that can take an actual 3k is there? It'd have to be a custom recone for that to happen
