Using Class A/B amp for subs?

So im thinking of getting the Hifonics TXi7508 which does 750 at 1 ohm to replace my kicker 600.1 since i have 2 DVC4ohm subs wired to 4 ohms they only get barely 300Wrms.My question if how would i go about wiring it since it has 4 speaker outputs? My kicker amp only had 2 which i assume is because its class D. Will using class a/b make my amp heat up more or affect efficiency at one ohm?

Yes every class a/b amp will be less efficient and run hotter than a class d.

The speaker terminals on the hifonics is still only one channel like your class d, it just has 2 sets of negatives and positives for more wiring options. If you look at the speaker output on the amp you will see 2 positives side by side and 2 negatives side by side, both positives are connected together inside the amp are so are the negatives. Wire each sub in series to each of the negative and positive terminals or you can wire the subs in series/parallel and just use 2 of the terminals on the amp.

get the best of both worlds.. get a clas DE. Class D and class A/B in one. Tons of power and super efficient

It will be more powerful and you should hear the difference, but it's a lower quality amp.

You think he is going to notice ? In theory you need to double your power to get 3db's and actually hear a audible difference.
