Anyone have experience? Going to get a boat and put a decent system in it....I have some old audiobahn 12's sitting around I can't get rid of, and figure what the hell...

One of my customers has a similar boat to what I plan to get, and he put a complete rockford system in it, subs, mids, amp, Hu....f'ing expensive as fvck, tho. Is rockford worth it over the other marine brands?

They'll work, obviously. They just won't be as resistant to marine elements as marine components would be. If they're reasonably well protected and not getting splashed all the time and not sitting in direct sunlight all day it would be reasonable to expect them to last about as long as they would in a car. But tower speakers, for example -- that's something you'd probably want to be a marine speaker.

You might look into MB Quart. They have pretty good marine gear that's priced much lower than RF.
