Ok let's say I get a set of JBL P660C component set that comes with passive crossovers and a American Bass SQ 900 amp to power them that has crossovers what do I do? The Crossover on the comp set will cross the midrange and tweet which is fine but If I set the HP on my amp at say 80hz will the comp set still split up the tweet and mids with the passive crossovers but the mid get 80 to wherever the point is the passive cross splits it to the tweet?

The HPF set at 80hz will mean that your comp set will see 80hz - 23Khz. and the components passive crossover will do the work. Your comps are rated 45 - 23000 Hz.
