using a stock head unit... HELP!!!

Im using a stock ford mustang head unit... i was wondering if it would be easier to just buy a new unit... the ppl that previously owned the car had a system but i guess the messed up the LOC and now my lanzar amp's pretector light turns on and no bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif...

could any one help me out FTW
