my a-pillar in my car is very close to the factory location of the tweeter, and the other day i got some idea to put a pair of tweeters or a tweeter and 2" midrange driver in there for some upper extension.

or a pair of tweeters.

i like the highs.

regardless, ive seen it done, but does anyone had an experience to hear them. does it sound good? not wanting opinion, facts. please.

guy in his tahoe has some 4" mids and a set of tweets in his a pillars out here and sound pretty good IMO
going to have mine done in a few weeks here just got to wait for the rest of my stuff to get in.....still deciding on a casper jig, or the legit metal one.

not my car, but basiccally where they'll go. except only two.

thinking tweeter bottom and mid up top, just gotta find a right side. ;/

you don't want a plastic mount for a mid. the mid requires a controlled, airtight airspace made from rigid materials. something you need fiberglass for when doing apillar mids. also, the lower range will be determined by the airspace - you still want an overall Q around .707.
