Using a .5 load on a 1ohm stable amp

Using two Type R 12 2ohm at .5ohm (final load) on a Hifonics bxi1208d amp in a 3.5Cube box setup... Would the impedance rise bring it up to 1ohm and safely run it using that load? Or do i have to use it at a 2ohm load?

Explain....I know on my friends car he is getting good amount of dimming in the car so...Guessing the voltage is dropping below 13.0 thus making less power which would aid in my case?
