kenwood ddx512 dvd region question

ss
some vendors on ebay change the dvd regiions if you buy from them, for a fee of course.

i suspect its a diy type of job, can anybody verify this ?

Kenwood ddx 5120 and 512 are the same thing but 512 is without the navigation
