Using 2 channel to run components

Is it normal for people to run all of their components off of a 2 channel amplifier? Front mids and highs to the left side and rear mids and highs to the right side. Bridged at 2 ohms on each side.

if you have a 2 channel it can only bridge to 1 channel, you cant bridge a 2 channel to 2 channels

you could do that, but you would want left speakers on one channel and right speakers on another. But like it was said. what are you wanting to do?

I want to run front speakers on one channel and rear speakers on another channel.

You could run all your rights off one channel and

all your lefts off the other and kiss fading goodbye.

That would be a slightly better option that kissing stereo

goodbye.

I would recommend your right on one and your lefts on another.

Also you need to know what ohm load your speakers are and what your amp is rated at so you don't make your amp go poof

Each of my components are 4 ohm speakers. Fading would come from going from right to left.

okay, heres the thing, when you run two speakers into 1 channel you have two wiring options, series or parallel. if you run them series the amp would see a 8 ohm load and if you run them parallel it will see a 2 ohm load. you need to see if your amp is 2ohm stable.

Otherwise, you will have to drive while looking

out out your passenger window to get

anything close to a sound stage.

just get a cheap 4 channel for $60 or another 2 channel for $40

ive got a cheap 4 channel you can buy lol.

its not ideal to do what your wanting to do, but it's possible, if you equip will allow.

most people, if they even put rear speakers in, will power them from HU power.

Like it was mentioned above, do your front components off your amp and your rears off your hu.

Hook up all of your lefts to your left channel, and all of your rights to your right channel.

You won't get front/back, but you'll get left/right stereo.
