used mids from a home system for rear fill

had an old ads home speaker system so i took the mids out and used them for my rear fill. anyone else ever done this? they sound pretty good. and to add on one of my earlier questions, there was poly fill int the boxesbut anyway just wanted to know if anyone ever did this

If those are the 2" soft dome midranges I hope you capped them off so only mid frequencies are reaching them. I love those vintage a/d/s speakers. 610's, 710's?

I have used the Vifa 3" soft dome mids in the past with an L-Pad to turn them up, down or off. The Vifa has a large 6" flange and they are easy to get in rear decks. Nice when you want a little ambience coming from the rear.
