So that kicker is really quite now that I smoothed the waves out. The xfls where overheating because of series clipping. I guess it should have been obvious that a 1200 watt amp had 2 xfls louder than hell. Now it's pathetic compared to before but clipping for loudness isn't worth damaged subs. You think I should just save up and make a huge step to something like a DC 2k or sundown SCV 2000? Thing is I would really like to stay in a budget I just don't want to be disappointed with the hifonics or SQ 2200 over the cx1200.1To be honest man, Dynamic power tests dont mean sh*t. Amps that can pass a certified run will be a crapton louder than amps that just pass only the dynamic run.
If its budget then you can probably find a used 2400.1 brutus for 200 bucks someone and it'll work fine. If you want the best possible, a DD, Sundown, incriminator, DC amp will have massive sound quality and loudness difference compared to a hifonics amp.
