Use XOver from HU or amp?

Hi,

I've just installed an Alpine CDA7894, it has HPF and LPF xover. But i also have an Orion amp the CS500.5, wich has xover too. The question is, wich should i use? The xover from the HU or from the amp? or maybe a mix? I could use the xover in the HU for the front and rear speakers and the xover in the amp for the subs

Thanks for your help.

At the same time? What about overlaping frecuencies? I mean, the xover controls in the amp are knobs, i don't know exactly what frecuency i'm working on, but in the HU xover points are fixed, 60, 80, 120, 160 and so on. If i set the HPF in the HU at 120 for the front speakers, for example, how should i set the xover in the amp for the same channel?

What do u think?
