USB hard drive hook-up

thats every time i turn it on because of all the music i have.. i try a flash drive read right away it was only 8gb my set up is

Quick Question!

I have a little 40GB HDD that was given to me and as luck would have it it's time to replace my stereo. Anyways, I've used my HDD on my X-BOX 360 and there was a long delay between tracks when I played it on Random.

If I were to set the play mode to 'random' would it have the same effect? I'm curious because I'm thinking of getting a new stereo with a USB port. I've got a ton of music and I may also get a bigger external HDD.

I know about formatting and the like, I'm just wondering how it works out. If there's long pauses (Up to a minute) between songs like on my 360 then I'm just going to pick up a bunch of Flash Drives and a USB hub for cheap.

Get a good deck and you shouldnt have issues. if you have a crappy hard drive or an old one that has been beat up you can expect delayed write times. I suggest a 32 gb flash drive. Its dumb to use that big of a drive on a cd player anyway unless its double din. searchign through all that music takes an eternity unless you have an ipod //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
