USB connection for iPhone 5 with AVH P8450BT not working?

Hi

I have the AVH P8450BT unit, and I have the 202 cable to iPhone 5. When I connect the iPhone using this cable, the AppMode works, but if I connect the iPhone to the second USB port (I just want to play my iPod library without the AppMode) using a regular USB to lightning cable, then it fails and it says "incompatible usb". When I connect a USB disk-on-key to that port - it works ok.

Is there any way to solve this issue?
