I used to have an XT-4000...did nowhere near the rated power...sold it and bought a BXi1606...also did nowhere near the rated power but had more than the XT-4000...sold the BXi1606 and bought a Sundown SAZ1500d....

NO COMPARISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sundown beats the crap out of the XT-4000 in every way, shape and form....PERIOD!!!

I'm not sure where you heard that Sundown amps are "dirty" but that cannot be farther from the truth. Many people, myself included, use them for SQ oriented installs.

The XT4000D can barely pass as a 900-watt amp, and tests have show thats about what it does.

I'm going to buy both of them... I figure with the warranty on them it would be hard not to, even for a simple comparison and bench test of my own.. Thanks for the input guys..

Why ask for advice if you're not going to listen? The only time I've heard anything good about the xterminator line is when someone was trying to sell it. If you want a good cheap amp get an Audioque 1200d. 1200d here
