The correct answer is:

The USA purposely did not bomb Hiroshima or Nagaski the entire war. They saved the two cities in pristine condition so that when we finally dropped the a bombs, the Japanese would have some way of gauging their destructive power and surrender.

Had we dropped them on already fbar'd cities it would have been hard to tell what their power was.

That's why the Japs weren't that concerned the morning the B-29 approached. They had seen them fly over many times and never drop any bombs.

They only problem i have here is that brutality is only answered back with brutality. But the allies were a bit more controlled at it. Cant even imagine if the US were even more savage and bombed all of the Japanese Islands in their entirety.

Are you guys seriously that heartless. 250,000 people died in like a minute from that bomb and it said that over 65% of the casulaties were children under 9 years old. Not to mention the thousand that have died since then from all the radation fall out. Almost everyone who died in the atomic blast were innocent and had nothing to do with the war what so ever.

Heartless? no, but all is fair in love and war. Why should I feel remorse for something I had no say in 50 years ago?
