I'd be willing to be that over 75% of the 144,000 were soldiers not innocent people. And we wernt talking about the holocaust but yes thats was a very F'ed up situation. And you have to learn from the past you learn from the mistakes of other people if we didnt then we would be nowhere

Had the bombs not been used, hundreds of thousands more would have died on both sides. I consider drafted military men to be innoncent. Therefore, I'm sure a good majority of your hypothetical 75% were drafted, and, in turn, innocent victims of the war.

Did you know that after the war we provided Japan witht he technoligy to become the nation they are today? Bet you didnt know that. We have made amends...War is war, casulties happen. Innocent die.

How about 20 million russians civilians and 9 million soldiers who died from combat, concentration camps or their own government abuse. OR 3 Million polish civilians and combatants. 9 million chinese civilians and 3 million military deaths. The 1 million civilian deaths in yugoslavia. 32 million civilians on the allies side died for a war they didnt start or invoke.

2.5 percent of the world's population died in those 6 years.

Have you walked in Auschwitz or Birkenau? Over half my family was killed because of those two camps alone. another 1/4 in action. Japanese allied themselves with the Germans. Im not saying civilians are responsible but in a way through the Japaneses draft and their pride they kinda hold some responsibility just like if America would invade on wrong terms we in a way should be held responsible.

In no ways is dieing from any bomb a deserved death.

Actually yes i did know that. All the destruction that the bomb caused make it alot easier for japan to rebuild. and yes you are right that, that is why japan is a really advanced country now. I think you guys are gettin the wrong impression about me also. I think you think im pissed. Im just playin the devils advocate and tryin to point the other ways this situation could be looked at. war is nessecery and war will always be.
