Question about UPS and me possibly being scammed...

Did business with someone, sent out a package and everything.

Person gets back to me saying that the package was definitely sent and delivered but that it wasn't received by them. On the tracking progress bit of the UPS.com site, it says it was left on the Porch.

My question - am I right in assuming that UPS will only leave a package on a porch if there is explicit instructions to do so? I thought they get signatures for everything? Especially considering this was the first attempt to deliver the package.

no they wont always need a signature, i get packeges left at my front door all the time. maybe they delivered it to the wrong house? or the person got it but they just want the money back too

I've never been asked for a signature from UPS...FedEx asked for signature I think so

yup, guy probably saw that they just left it there and you have no proof that he got it, why not just say its not there and get his money back too

yea except i got something on this guy... i never gave him a tracking number, i gave him a Mail Boxes Etc. Parcel Shipping Order # that was on my MBE receipt. I doubt you can get a UPS number from that. I may send him some monopoly money...
