PLEASE NOTE:

THIS IS ACTUALLY A USA 100HC sometime in this amps life the side plates were switched with the vlx-25 side plates.

regardless, it is still an AWESOME amp that typically goes for 400ish on ebay, so someone buy this up.

Old school, Floridian hand crafted beast. As most of us know these are EXTREMELY hard to come by. This is part of the high current era of amps designed to take extremely low ohm loads and put out a ton of power....while keeping the 4ohm rated power low for the competitions circuits that limit each class by the amps rated power ."""rated""" 800 watts per ch, but recommended fusing at 225 amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

for the noobs i'll do the math:

225amps x 12v = 2700 watts

225amps x 14v = 3150 watts

Cliff notes from the technical specs:

-Power Supply: Non-regulated Ultrafet.

-Circuit Board: Ground-reinforced dual gold-plated RCA jacks. Input-isolated to effectively eliminate ground loops and subsequent system noise.

-Output Components: Twenty 125 watt 3MHz bipolar transistors. (2,500 watts)

-24v power rails.

-Signal Path Components: All polypropylene capacitors and 1% tolerance resistors.

-Output Signal Delivery: All high level signals exit the circuit board via 8 gauge oxygen-free Ultraflow wire by Esoteric Audio.

-1 ohm stable

Here's a link to the very in depth technical specs on the amp:

Here's a link to the manual for all us amps amps that year, the 100hc on page 17:

Condition:

The backside plexi is scratched up, but the amp will look ultra sexy with a new plexi put in (very easy to change out).

The plexi piece is 23'' x 5.25'' x 0.125''. You can easily find a replacement piece of plexi, lexan, or acrylic for cheap and have a **** sexy amp.

There's some small scratches on the chrome paint on the backside. The front of the amp has a good bit of scratches, maybe a 7/10. Amp works 100% and pushed my BTL very impressively.

Now for the sexy pics:

...some of the screws are off the amp side plate. i do have all the original screws for the side plates.

2 of the screws are missing from the speaker outputs. These of course can be easily replaced. if you plan on bridging the amp then you wont even need them.

First one with 300 shipped (gift payment) gets this piece of car audio history safely to thier front door. Add for fees if you dont want to send as a gift payment.

heheh im poor.....as the reason im not keeping this for myself. i took a hit keeping the art ax400 so this one needs to go.....but man that ax400is pure sex

I just couldn't bring myself to sell stuff like this, man. With an amp like this, I'd have to get the heatsink refinished and the plexi backplate replaced. Powdercoat or polishing would be nice. Sure, the logo would have to be replaced with a vinyl decal, but who cares? It'd be badass all cleaned up...

believe me i know. it PAINS me selling this....

but i figure when the day comes ill happen across that purple vlx-400 and then ill call it a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'd seriously buy this in a heartbeat, but I already owe out $195 to forum members right now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

GLWS. I think you overrated your output claims though, by about 66%
I stated the 225amps fuse rating times a cars typical 12v or 14v...showing how much power it can push before poping a fuse....I also mentioned the 2500w as stated under the output components section on the us amps techincal info. I'm pretty sure 2500w is a reasonable rating for this amp. If 2500w is over rated to you then i appologize.

and btw, that cyclops you sold me had screws missing off main board that were supposed secure it to the chassis. It blew up a week later and I ended up spending a whole lot more to get it fixed right. Between you not mentioning a lack of mounting feet or inspecting the board better i really had a ****ed up experience getting the cyclops to work in my car.

i'll go ahead and buy i ..if you guarantee it works...pm me your paypal
it just sold tonight, sorry homie.

You're forgetting to factor in efficiency of that power. AB amps are 35%. So wattage would be around 1k. Not to mention if that amp does 2500 then my VLX does 5K easy.............not.

Sorry to hear you had problems with that amp. I never had an issue with it. If it blew up it probably didn't have enough electrical behind it. You should check your car for any wiring problems it may have had. I don't see how this is even on topic and I really don't appreciate you trying to pin your problems on me. Glad you sold your amp. Have a nice day.

How I would approach it is install your new amplifier and start using it. Install a voltage gauge and if you see your voltage lowering then add...

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

You don't need two amps. The speakers come with crossovers to help protect the tweeters.

Perhaps you changed something without mentioning it here? Maybe a loose turn on line? I dunno man...but we'll take it. Hopefully it keeps working. 👍
