US Amps US-100HC

Anybody know the REAL capabilities of this amp. I've checked all over the web and only find the "underrated ratings". This amp is a cheater amp and capable of way more than just 800w @ 1 ohm. Anybody have experience with it?

No real experience personally. I have the literature from US amps and was reading recently online that somewhere in the neighborhood of 900-1000RMS is still underrated. That amp should do whatever you want it to. If you want exact stats and not the quoted ones you may not be able to find it unless someone has proof of the exact wattage.

Just by looking at the size of the amp and the quality of old school that Us Amps they produced back in the day, this thing is no way near 800w. It draws 125 amps.

Most reputable companies Old School PPI, Old School US amps, Zapco, Genesis, ETC ETC will always make the stated power. They are called cheeter amps because they always make at least the stated power. I would tend to belive that rating from this company.

If it draws 125A then 1kW is probably a good estimate. It's class A/B and as such is going to draw a lot more power than a newer Class D tat makes the same power. The amp is no slouch on output power but it also is not going to be the best choice for a high power system anymore. It's just too power hungry because of its A/B architecture.
