US Amps or Diamond Audio

Alright, alright, yes this is another "which amp should I buy" thread. But it is kind of a two part question. After a little mishap with my PG Tantrum 1200.1 I am looking for a new amp to power my RE audio sub. First of all I am not sure what model my RE is but the symbol on the cone is similar to the symbol on the current SE series. I bought the sub from a friend a few years ago, it is a quad 1 ohm voice coil 12" and I was told it could handle 2000 watts. Anybody know what model this is and possibly have specs on it? Second, as stated above I am looking for a new amp to power this beast. I am considering one of the US amps, either the XT2000D or the MD1D. I have not seen a THD rating for the XT2000D and I do not like how it gives a dynamic power rating. Is this amp just going to be raw, dirty power? And what kind of power would I expect to see with real world vehicle battery voltage across it? I am also looking at the Diamond Audio D6 1200.1. Everything about this amp is appealing except for the size and the price tag. I would like to keep the mounting location the same as where my PG was for ease of installation and therefore the new amp cannot be much bigger than the PG. I am looking at something approx 14"x10"x2.5" or less. I would really love to have a D5 1200.1 but am hesitant to buy a used amp from anybody. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I saw that earlier, but thanks. I wonder if that means they are outsourcing the entire build or just certain subassemblies. That also doesn't neccesarliy mean that their quality has suffered from it. If they keep tight controls on their suppliers it should still be a quality product.

x2, i've been reading in magazines and they said the diamonds are very nice and do much more than rated power at 14volts

They have been made in China since the late 90's or when I first saw them appear in stores around here. That is all I need to know. I won't knowingly buy products made in China. No control over production, no regulation, no support for injured workers. No money from me to them.
