Anyone have a review for the US Amps MD-1D. Is it truely 1ohm stable. I believe the Merlin series is the lower end quality US Amps stuff. Is this true? Is there a better amp out there for this price range? Thanks

The merlin series are not the lower end they are the mid level amps....the xt series are the lowest level, merlin are midlevel and high end are AX Series.

no in my opinion US amps are some of the best amps anyway for the money and honestly at that price range you probably wont find anything better...and its on sale here for $269.95 at the link below and this amp is usually at least 400 or more.... and woofersetc has this amp for $600 right now...so thats a great deal on that amp....

Even a power acoustik amp cost about 269.95 or more for 1200 watts RMS@1 ohm

Anything that US amps/ RE audio makes is rated at what it says and usually they are underrated, so it is most deff. 1 ohm stable

I love the us amps merlin line! I have sold over 40 of the merlins with 0 problems at my shop. I have ran my 2 md3d's at .5ohm with no problems also. They are very very nice amps! So I just bought one of these and did the install last night.

I have no manual for the thing and am having issues with the tuning. When the HU is very low, the bass is still fairly loud. When the HU is fairly high, the bass isn't loud enough. I know there's enough power available for my JL 10w7. What setting should I be tweaking?

4 knobs, LP filter, Bass Boot, Subsonic Level, Input Level.

What does the Input Level do, my guess is adjusts the line in level. duh.

I've been tweaking it for a while and can't get the bass volume to follow the full range volume.

Sounds like your gain is up too high. Turn the gain down to where the bass gets loud when the hu is 3/4 volume. Nice Thread Jack BTW.
