US amps 4000X

hi guys

Happy and prosperous new year to all of you.

My time with Z1 is over as it is totally spl amp and needs a hell of current.

now i am turning towars zapco 9x or us amps 4000X as both of thea mps are so efficient and sound quality is so cool.

Please share your experiences with 4000x.Is it really so much efficeient and it produces 4kw @4ohms.

One more thing i would like to know what will be diiference between running 4kw@4ohm,4kw @2ohm or 1ohm despite distortion.

My sub is gonna be 9515 d2 or atomic APX 18" d2.

no experience with the 4000x but I'll chime in on the physics question you have. I wanna say that the 4000x was still a class a/b amp so compared to the popular class D amps out now, it would lack in efficiency and draw a boatload of current.

As for the difference between 4ohm, 2ohm, and 1ohm loads with the same power its all about resistance. The lower the impedence (in ohms) the lower the resistance. Total harmonic distortion (ThD) usually goes up at lower impedence a sub being powered at 4ohm may have a cleaner signal than if that same sub was powered by the same amp at 1ohm.

4000x isn't very good for daily you'd be better off with 2 2000x
