us amps 2000x question?

i have a us amps 2000x and when i power it up the AUX light comes on..its right beside the SAT light........the power light doesnt come on at all....what does AUX mean?.....

i figured it meant auxilliary ...but what does it mean? ..it doesnt power on at all , just lights up the aux light....
