The only time Ive seen something mentioned around that load was 1400 or so at 2.5 or something like that.

A high output alt. should definately be in the plans then. Like 200+ amps. I know a 1000 watt J/l drug a 180 down to 13v. I know JL's are very power hungry, but you're running 3 times the power once you get it set up. Were you planning on doing the big 3?
