I have only glanced at a 20.1 in real life (In DJman's Xtera) so I have no idea how the connections are set up on that amp.

Maybe post a pic of the amp and we can see what's up. Make sure the pos/neg connections on the sub are going from one voice coil to the other, and not to the same v/c. Kinda confused me, but I think you got it right, take pics of everything and we can tell you.

Everything Looks good to me, those pos/neg connections on the amp should go to the same channel, If I'm right in assuming it's a single channel amp.

I would turn the bass boost completely off, and turn the gain down to about a quarter to start out with. Then adjust them when you can measure them with test tones and a meter.

Also let us know how you like the 880 when you get it in. I'm 90% sure that's my next deck, I'm just trying to come up with some money being a broke college kid now and all.

Yeah positive on left to negative on right, negative on left to negative in the middle on amp, positive on right to positive in the middle on the amp.

Looks good to me. The 20.1 is a mono block so thats just one channel with 4 hook ups (2 pos. 2 neg) instead of 2 hook ups (1 pos. 1 Neg.) yeah your good. that is unless you have the sub wired wrong inside the box. Im guessing (dont remember) that you have dual 1 coils to achieve that .5 ohm load. so you would need to wire your sub in Parallel.

Wiring it in series so I can use like 900 watts from the amp and keep the 4 gauge until I have time/money/resources to up it to 0 gauge, then will run parallel.

good stuff then. So you should have a wire going into the box and the pos. going to one VC and the Neg. going to the other, and then a jumper wire connection the other pos. and neg. connections.

Looks like the terminal is only about half full of wire.

Its an 18...and thats 4 gauge...its making me cry looking at the skinny wire going into the monsterous amp.

4 gauge, because I don't have room for a battery in the trunk yet. Running in series so I only get 900 watts from the amp (2 ohm load) instead of parallel (2500-300 watts, .5 ohm load).

Like nothing, I blew a fuse from a careless mistake (power in ground, ground in power).. getting a new fuse tomorrow afternoon. Hope the 900 watts is enough to move the sub!
