Upgrading by 400 watts. Is it worth it?

I am thinking about buying a new amp for my subs. The one I am using now is the Directed 1500D that is rated 1100w @ 1 ohm. The amp that I would be upgrading to is the Treo 750D which I believe is rated 1500w @ 1 ohm. The subs are 2 Treo SSi 12"s Dual 4-ohm. I would like to have all Treo but I don't want to spend the $400-$500 without an increase in performance. I know it won't be a huge increase but i would hope to be a little bit louder/cleaner. Also, does anyone know the current draw of the 750D?

I don't know if the subs can handle it, but if they can, why not? more power would make it louder.

The SSi's are rated 750wrms each.

Not in this case; I doubt you'd hear the difference between 1.1 and 1.5kW.
