I want to upgrade both of these. I am getting a quote from highoutputalternator on the alt, I've never replaced the alt so im not sure what i'll need, like a 200amp one or more?

Also, I need a new battery, I only use the stock one. Is the price of putting a smaller battery under the hood, and getting a big one for the trunk worth it? Or will I be fine with a new HO alt and just 1 new, better battery. If the setup of 2 batteries is recommended, Im not even sure what batteries to get, bim pretty clueless on that, i've never replaced my battery before other than buying a regular one.

Just for reference, my lights do dim pretty severe, and I had to jump my car today to get it running, so I know either my alt or battery **** the bed, and I want to replace both so I don't have to go back in a month and replace something else.

2000 Chevy Impala

2 12 Type-R 4Ohm versions wired to 1ohm

1 RD audio 1750 mono amp

1 Alpine 400.1 PDX

2 Infinity 9-series 6.5's

2 Infinity 9-series 6x9's

Thanks guys.
